Admissions, recruitment, enrollment, retention, and graduation are some of the pillars of higher education.

The art of recruitment is not actually an art, it’s a science.

We have the tools to teach the right college recruitment procedures.
Once they are learned, they can be repeated by each recruiter to get the best result each time.

So why does Admissions Counselor Training exist?

Most admissions directors have the right tools and either are lacking bandwidth or would benefit from an outside perspective delivering the same message.

Most admissions counselors are undertrained, because admissions is a means to a very different end for most young professionals.

Most sales trainers are costly and lack admissions experience.

Most trainers with admissions experience are costly and haven’t done the job in decades.

Most admissions training programs come from corporations that are absorbing small businesses (costing more for the same product than when the small business was doing it on their own).

ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR TRAINING fills the gap. Higher quality sales training by a current enrollment professional at a fraction of the cost of most training programs. Training has been written and is conducted by a practitioner with nearly 20 years of college enrollment and sales experience including both “for” and “non” profit, both undergraduate and graduate, both domestic and international, both traditional and non-traditional, both private and public, both 2 year college and 4 year university (plus beauty school), and is a millennial who will connect with your Gen Z and millennial admissions staff.

Admissions training workshop

A full day (or two half-days) workshop on your campus.  Your staff will hear best practices on territory management, office culture (general), conducting effective visits, structuring a quality phone interview with effective questions, strategies for discovering a strong value proposition, phone skills, sales and customer service skills.

Recruitment and Sales Guide

This comes for free with purchase of the Admissions Training Workshop.  This helps your staff continue to discuss helpful topics even after the training.  It can also be given to staff who miss the training or are hired after the training.
You will receive a working document that you can edit as you wish.  All concepts and activities from the training are included, but you can add pages and sections to make this a true once and for all tool for all new and seasoned staff.  These pages and sections are marked as incomplete, and you can complete them or remove them and then this is only an admission sales manual.

It is much more cost effective to bring the conference to your enrollment and/or marketing office rather than to send everyone to a conference. This roughly 3 hour workshop was created to discuss the latest and greatest in content marketing. Most of the material has been presented at national conferences and in webinars and white papers and includes lots of specific examples of best practices from around the industry. For right value/message, right audience, and right time, this primary source information will get the whole team on the same page.

From Good to Great: Developing Exceptional Admissions Counselors

What defines a truly great admissions counselor? In many cases, the answer mirrors what makes a strong leader or a successful entrepreneur: technical expertise, cognitive agility, emotional intelligence, vision, and character. Others, particularly technical skills, can be developed through ongoing training and intentional support. That’s where we come in. Our mission is to accelerate growth in the areas that matter most. Whether you're looking to refine your team's storytelling abilities, strengthen sales techniques, enhance customer experience, or increase conversion rates, we provide the tools and training to help your counselors move from good to great.
